ACT Consultant Services provides specialist advice and design from feasibility studies to detailed design of performance spaces, for the visual and performing arts, education and multi-media.

ACT works with facility managers, architects, arts development officers, construction companies, bursars and building owners to provide presentation space s fit-for-purpose and engaging in use , whilst acknowledging budgetary constraints.

Our scope of service includes the following areas:

• stage and auditorium planning and design
• theatre equipment integration and costing
• drawing up and specification of: auditorium and stage lighting, sound and communications, stage fittings, masking and drapes, seating, seat tiering and film/video projection systems.
• planning of materials, colours and lighting galleries and presentation spaces.

ACT can be involved in your project from conception to completion or can provide surveys, design checks and design team/contractor support at intermediate work stages, as required.

The Market Theatre at Wyeside Arts Centre, Builth Wells reopens after £220,000 redevelopment. ACT has worked with Wyeside’s Trustees since the original 1977 redevelopment of the building from its former use as market hall, shops and cinema.

The King’s Theatre for Queen Ethelburga’s College, Ouseburn: Redevelopment of redundant swimming pool and adjacent hall to create a 330-seat theatre for assemblies and performance. The contract extended for 12 months from design to completion,.

Y Ffwrnes – the new arts centre rises out of the ground in Llanelli .  The venue will provide a cultural and creative centre for entertainment, the arts, education and employment and is due for completion by the end of 2012.
